FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! Many Irish universities including University of Galway, University of Limerick, UCC and TU Dublin accept students with 60–65% in their bachelor's degree. TCD and UCD may require 65–70%+. CIES will identify the best universities for your specific marks and background.
Stamped 1H is Ireland's post-study work permission. After completing your degree, you can apply for Stamp 1H — Masters graduates get 2 years, Bachelors get 1 year — to work full-time in Ireland without needing employer sponsorship. It's automatically available to eligible graduates.
In many ways yes. Ireland remains an EU member, so an Irish degree gives EU recognition. Ireland offers similar English education quality, comparable tuition fees, same post-study work duration (2 years for Masters), and additionally gives access to EU job markets — something UK no longer provides after Brexit.
You need to show a minimum of €7,000 in liquid savings (bank balance), plus proof that tuition fees have been paid or you have a sponsor. An education loan sanction letter is also accepted. Fixed deposits and parental ITR for 2–3 years strengthen your financial profile.
Dependent visas (Stamp 1G) are available for spouses of international students in certain cases — particularly for PhD students or those with Critical Skills Employment Permits. This is assessed case by case. CIES can guide you on eligibility for family reunification in Ireland.
No, IELTS is not mandatory. PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, and Cambridge English are also accepted by most Irish universities. The minimum requirement is usually IELTS 6.0–6.5 or PTE 55–65. CIES provides coaching for all these tests in Noida — both online and offline batches.
Most Irish universities have two intakes: September (main intake — most programs available) and January/February (limited programs). Some universities also offer May/June intake for certain courses. CIES helps you choose the right intake based on your application readiness and target program.
CIES provides complete end-to-end support: free profile evaluation, IELTS/PTE/TOEFL coaching in Noida, university shortlisting and application, SOP and LOR writing, Ireland student visa filing, pre-departure briefing, and accommodation guidance. Call +91 99682 39372 for a free consultation.
